What is PDFem?

PDFem is a free online workspace for everyday PDF, document and image tasks. It is built for people who need to merge files, repair PDFs, edit metadata, sign forms, convert formats, resize images or make scanned PDFs searchable without installing software or creating an account.

What We Offer

PDFem offers 52 tools across practical document categories:

  • Organize PDF: Merge, split, rotate, crop, repair, reorder, delete pages and inspect PDF information.
  • Convert PDF: Convert images, scans, text files, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HTML to PDF, or export PDFs to images, office files, CSV and text.
  • Edit PDF: Add page numbers, watermarks, headers, footers, Bates numbers and document metadata.
  • Fill & Sign: Add a visible signature, date, text and checkmark to simple PDF forms.
  • Protect PDF: Protect, unlock, redact and clean metadata before sharing documents.
  • Optimize PDF: Compress, flatten, grayscale, OCR, PDF/A and web-optimize PDFs when the file needs a more practical output.
  • Image Tools: Compress, resize and convert images between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and SVG based formats.

How Files Are Handled

Files are uploaded only for the tool you choose. After processing, PDFem gives you a download link, and the uploaded and converted files are deleted within the next 10 minutes. We do not create accounts, keep user file libraries or ask for email access before a conversion.

Why We Built It
