Trim PDF Margins Without Rebuilding the Whole File

Crop PDF is for pages that have too much empty space around the content. That often happens with scanned paperwork, exported slides, receipts, forms, shipping labels, handouts and documents that were photographed on a desk. Set the top, right, bottom and left crop values, choose which pages should be affected and download a cleaner copy that is easier to read on screen or print.

When Cropping Helps

Cropping is useful when the page content is already right but the visible area around it is not. You might have a scan with a dark edge, a page that includes scanner glass, a receipt with extra background or a report where the margins make the document feel awkward on mobile. Instead of recreating the file, you can trim the page box and keep the document moving.

Choosing Crop Values

The crop fields use PDF points. Start with small numbers when you only want to shave off a border. Larger values remove more from the visible page area. If the first output is too tight, go back and reduce the crop values. For uneven scans, try cropping one side at a time so the edge that needs attention is easier to spot.

Selected Pages

You can crop all pages, odd pages, even pages or a custom page range. That matters when a cover page should stay untouched but the scanned pages after it require cleanup. It also helps with mixed documents where only a few pages have wide borders.

Not a Redaction Tool

Cropping changes what most PDF readers show on the page, but it should not be used to hide sensitive information. If the goal is to cover private text, use Redact PDF and review the output before sharing. Crop PDF is best for layout cleanup, not privacy removal.
