What the Report Includes

Does PDF Info change my PDF?
No. PDF Info creates a report and does not edit the uploaded PDF. It is meant for checking a file before sharing, archiving or running another tool.
Can PDF Info show hidden metadata?
It can show common document properties stored in the PDF metadata. It is not a forensic scanner and does not inspect every possible hidden object in a file. For ordinary title, author and creator checks, it is a practical first step.
Why does my PDF show the wrong title or author?
Many PDFs keep metadata from the app or document they were created from. A proposal exported from Word might keep an old draft title, or a scanned file might show the scanner software as the creator. If the report shows old metadata, use Edit PDF Metadata or Remove PDF Metadata.
